At the time that Katrina devestated the Gulf Coast, the very FIRST action taken by government was the confiscation of legally owned firearms. Shopkeepers were denied the right to protect their businesses from looters! Afterwords an APOLOGY! What part of "shall not be infringed" did elected officals, not understand? This action, by government, set a precedent and sounded a nation alert! Million of citizens, like myself, vowed NEVER AGAIN!! A Japanese Admiral, was asked after WWII, why Japan chose to bomb Pearl Harbor, instead of the launching of a mainland invaison? The Admiral's response was that they feared that there "would be a rifle behind every blade of grass"! Should our government ever again seize lawfully owned firearms, it should do so with the full knowledge, that there are literally millions of people who will fight, kill, and if necessary, die before losing even one of our rights. An uninvited individual who attempts to enter my home, intent on deprieving me of my right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, will find himself losing his right to those very same things. One man's rights end, where another's begin. Nothing vague there!
